Port of Alabama
The Port of Alabama project represents a significant investment in industrial and logistics infrastructure along the Gulf Coast, supporting the region's growing role in trade, distribution, and supply chain operations. Located in Loxley, Alabama, this large-scale facility was designed to serve the demands of modern port-adjacent commerce—placing capacity, durability, and operational efficiency at the forefront of the build.
Greater Georgia Concrete partnered with Choate Construction to deliver a comprehensive concrete package for this expensive industrial facility, designed by Ware Malcomb. The project required disciplined coordination, experienced field leadership, and the ability to efficiently execute large-scale slab, paving, and tilt-up construction throughout the full schedule.

Our Scope
A full industrial concrete scope valued at $5.2 million, featuring:
- 300,064 SF of slab-on-grade concrete
- 93,418 SF of tilt-up wall panels with 11,700 LF of reveals
- 80,672 SF of concrete paving
- 91 spread footings
- 520 tons of reinforcing steel installed
The scale and complexity of the facility demanded careful sequencing and consistent execution to support the project's long-term operational needs.

Delivering Greater Impact
The Port of Alabama investment reflects a commitment to strengthening the region's logistics and trade infrastructure. By delivering more than 474,000 square feet of combined slab, paving, and tilt-up concrete construction, GGC played a critical role in creating a facility built for high-volume operations and long-term growth.
This project showcases our ability to support large-scale industrial environments—bringing experience, coordination, and proven execution to the projects that shape the future of the region.
