UGA BCM Student Housing

The BCM Student Housing project is designed to support modern student living with a durable, thoughtfully constructed facility built for long-term use. Executed within an active campus setting, the project requires a highly coordinated structural concrete scope that includes foundations, vertical construction, and elevated systems—each delivered with precision and attention to detail at every phase.

Greater Georgia Concrete is delivering a comprehensive concrete package that supports multiple buildings within the project, with work progressing in planned phases to maintain momentum and quality across the site.

Our Scope Included

A substantial structural concrete scope featuring:

  • Approximately 8,000 cubic yards of concrete placed
  • 458 tons of reinforcing steel installed
  • 2,200 linear feet of continuous footings
  • 97 concrete columns
  • 22,000 SF of cast-in-place concrete walls
  • 57,000 SF of slab-on-grade concrete
  • 38,000 SF of post-tensioned elevated decks

Construction is currently focused on wall installation in Building B, with slab work scheduled to begin later this month as the project continues to advance.

Delivering Greater Impact

The UGA BCM Student Housing project highlights GGC’s ability to execute complex concrete scopes within institutional environments that require coordination, sequencing, and attention to detail. Through disciplined planning and experienced field leadership, the team is helping deliver a facility built to support the university’s long-term needs.

This project reflects our ongoing commitment to quality execution, structural performance, and trusted partnership across higher education construction.
