Wesleyan Young Hall

Young Hall at Wesleyan School is a new, two-story, 48,000-square-foot academic building dedicated to STEM education for middle and high school students. Designed to advance science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs, the facility features expanded science labs, engineering spaces, and modern classrooms, as well as offices, student meeting areas, a college advising center, and a prayer chapel.

Our Scope Included

GGC delivered a comprehensive concrete package, including:

  • 58 tons of Grade 60 reinforcing steel.
  • Foundations: 122 column footings, 1,047 LF continuous footings, mat foundation, elevator pit walls, excavation/backfill, anchor bolts, and base plate grouting.
  • Slab on Grade: 22,824 SF of 4” slab with thickened slab, turndowns, vapor barrier, welded wire mesh, and aggregate base.
  • Slab on Metal Deck: 20,933 SF of 6.5” reinforced concrete over metal decking.
  • Elevated CIP Risers: 892 SF riser slab with multiple riser heights.
  • Concrete Walls & Pilasters: 4,538 SF of wall and 7 pilasters.
  • Stairs & Pads: 4 metal pan stair infills and a 65 SF transformer pad.
  • Exterior Concrete:
    • 10,876 SF of 6.5” paving
    • 28,005 SF sidewalks
    • 2,224 SF brick sidewalks
    • 2,207 SF permeable pavers
    • 321 LF CIP steps, ADA domes, and 7 concrete-installed bollards.
