Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Tennis Facility – University of Georgia
Located within the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on UGA’s Athens campus, the Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Tennis Facility serves as a key training and competition venue for the men’s and women’s varsity tennis teams. The broader complex includes 12 outdoor courts, the Henry Field Grandstand and press box, coaching offices, and more—making it one of the premier collegiate tennis destinations in the country.
Partnering with New South Construction, GGC was tasked with helping replace the existing pre-engineered metal building with a new six-court indoor facility featuring 600 spectator seats and associated restrooms. This project further strengthens UGA’s position as a national leader in collegiate tennis facilities.

Our Scope Included:
- Placement of 108 tons of rebar, including 7,800 SF of wall rebar
- Large-scale site package with UGA-standard bollards, sidewalks, header curbs, and stair runs
- Structural concrete work in coordination with KSi Structural Engineers (now Wallace Design Collective)
- Careful sequencing to meet aggressive timelines while working in an active campus environment

Delivering Greater Impact:
As our first structural project with New South Construction and second UGA project in the area (following UGA Science Hill), this build showcased GGC’s ability to deliver high-performance concrete solutions for large-scale, high-visibility athletic facilities—on schedule, with precision, and to the highest standards.
