Project Superintendent

Responsible for coordination and direction of all aspects of the onsite operations of assigned projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals. Communicate the company’s vision and goals to all employees.

· Performs administrative functions such as daily time and production recording, reviewing and writing daily reports, weekly toolbox, safety talks, weekly short term interval schedules, daily concrete and materials log, approving expenditures with project manager, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.

· Organize and turn in all material delivery receipts a minimum of 1X per week.  

· Has a clear understanding of the contracted scope of work.

· Understands and manages the relationship between schedule and man-hours and how they relate.

· Study all construction documents to determine appropriate methods of execution. Also research various codes and tolerances listed in the specifications, such as ACI references.

· Safety. Ensure that our projects are being run safely and in accordance with our company’s safety plan including the enforcement and utilization. Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, hard hats, safety vests).

· Maintains work site, personnel, tools, and equipment in ways that project positive image.

· Ensure that MSDS file and first aid kit is kept current.

· Ensures that deadlines are met.

· In conjunction with the project manager, identify and coordinate project material and equipment requirements and the sequencing of the material/ equipment procurement.

· Communicate changes and revisions to project manager and ensure that the most current construction documents are being utilized in the field.

· Prepares detailed forecast for project milestones and goals for completion – has a clear understanding of budget and job costs.

· Document in a detailed manner all problems, delays, occurrences on the project. Take pictures and label pictures of the same.

· Has extensive knowledge on installation system to be used and on equipment and products to be used on projects.

· Has knowledge of surveying and layout.

· Confers with other superintendents to coordinate operations and activities within and between job sites.

· Confers with project managers on project timelines.  

· Confers with project managers to ensure that production and personnel problems are resolved.

· Oversees the planning of work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet production goals.

· Liaises with subcontractors and project managers.

· Interprets specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.

Training/Certification-

· Safety- Osha 30, fall protection, confined space, excavation trenching and shoring, cpr, first aid.
